Welcome to the "Golden Standard of Bialik." Located at Bialik St 46 in Ramat Gan, Falafel Ordea (פלאפל אורדע) is a nostalgic landmark that has served as the anchor of the historic Rambam Square for over 40 years.
This isn't just a falafel stand; it is a time capsule of Israeli street culture, where the recipe hasn't changed since the days when the nearby Ordea Cinema was the cultural heart of the city.
The Vibe: Nostalgic Street Symphony
The atmosphere at 46 Bialik St is defined by bustling authenticity. Situated on one of Ramat Gan’s busiest shopping arteries, the stand is a small, high-energy joint where the rhythm of the city pulses. It’s a place of "shared memories," where parents who ate here as children now bring their own kids for a pita. You eat standing up or perched on the edge of the square, watching the pigeons and the steady stream of shoppers in a scene that feels like a classic 1970s postcard.
The Specialist: The Guardian of the "Clean" Fry
The reputation of Falafel Ordea is built on a specific, meticulous approach to the national dish:
The "Clean" Ball: Regulars frequently describe the falafel here as "exceptionally clean"—meaning the oil is kept fresh and the balls are fried to a light, golden crisp without the heavy, greasy aftertaste found elsewhere.
The Sourdough-Style Pita: The pita bread used at Ordea is famously sturdy yet soft, capable of holding a mountain of salads and tahini without tearing—a rare engineering feat in the falafel world.
The Legendary Amba: For those who know, the Amba (mango pickle sauce) and the house-made S'chug (spicy Yemenite sauce) are the secret weapons here, providing a sharp, spicy kick that cuts through the creamy tahini.
The Craft: Simple Excellence
While modern stands try to innovate with "pizza-flavored" falafel or rainbow-colored toppings, Ordea sticks to the Scientific Perfection of the Original:
The "Golden Ratio": Every portion is precisely balanced—exactly the right amount of hummus spread, followed by a layer of fresh Israeli salad, five steaming-hot falafel balls, and a final "crown" of tahini.
Beyond the Ball: Over the years, the menu has subtly expanded. While the falafel remains the star, they are also highly regarded for their Sabich (eggplant and egg) and surprisingly excellent Asian-inspired dishes (like Gyoza) that have recently appeared in their expanded menu, reflecting the modern evolution of Bialik Street.
Why It’s Unique to Rambam Square
The "Ordea" Legacy: Named after the legendary Ordea Cinema that once stood nearby, the stand is the last remaining vestige of the square's "Golden Age." Eating here is a rite of passage for anyone who considers themselves a Ramat Gan local.
The "40-Year" Consistency: In a city where businesses open and close in a heartbeat, Ordea’s 40+ year tenure is a testament to its quality. As one regular put it: "The taste is the same today as it was in 1984."
The "Business Hour" Hero: It is the ultimate "quick-fix" for the thousands of people traversing Bialik Street daily, offering a high-protein, Kosher, and affordable meal that is served at lightning speed.
The Guest Experience
The Verdict: "A taste of childhood in every bite." Whether you are looking for a nostalgic trip down memory lane or just the most reliable falafel in the Sharon region, Falafel Ordea is the definitive choice. It is a no-frills, high-flavor institution that proves some things are better when they never change.

Самый ностальгический фалафель в Рамат-Гане, искреннее обслуживание по отличным ценам.
The most nostalgic falafel in Ramat Gan, genuine service at great prices.
Nothing has changed...the atmosphere...the area...the staff...I ate one of my first falafels here, over 40 years ago...the taste doesn't matter, of course there are many better ones, but the whole experience...childhood memories...highly recommend to anyone who grew up eating falafel...while eating and watching the pigeons visiting the area, I went back 40 years...and it was awesome
