Я приехал утром в спешке, чтобы починить спущенную шину, и сразу понял, что с меня берут деньги. Они решили, что шина закончилась, потому что болт шел так и этак, и предложили мне купить новые шины. Я объяснил, что сейчас спешу на работу и меня интересует только базовый ремонт, но к моему удивлению молодой менеджер (вероятно, «сын», а не владелец бизнеса) решил, что не хочет чинить дыру, потому что ремонт не продлится долго. Он указал мне, что на самом деле делает это для меня, чтобы я не платил зря, потому что он против того, чтобы зарабатывать деньги (конечно, не деньги на двух новых шинах).

I arrived in a rush this morning to fix a flat tire and immediately realized that they were charging me. They decided that the tire was dead because the bolt was going this way and that and offered to buy me new tires. I explained that I was rushing to work and was only interested in a basic repair, but to my surprise the young manager (probably the "son" and not the owner of the business) decided that he did not want to fix the hole because the repair would not last long. He pointed out to me that he was actually doing it for me so that I would not pay for nothing because he was against making money (certainly not money on two new tires).
I had to go to another shop where they fixed the tire without any problems and also gave me a good price for future driving.

באתי בבוקר ממהר לתקן תקר, ישר קלטתי שמבשלים לי הוצאה. החליטו שהצמיג גמור כי הבורג נכנס ככה וככה והציעו לי לרכוש צמיגים חדשים. הסברתי שכרגע אני ממהר לעבודה ומעונין רק בתיקון בסיסי אבל להפתעתי המנהל הצעיר (בטח ה"בן של" ולא בעל העסק) החליט שהוא לא מוכן לתקן את החור כי התיקון לא יחזיק, הוא ציין בפני שהוא בעצם עושה את זה בשבילי כדי שלא אשלם סתם כי הרי לו התנגדות להרויח כסף (בטח שלא כסף על שני צמיגים חדשים) .
נאלצתי לנסוע לחנות אחרת שם תיקנו את הצמיג בלי בעיה וגם נתנו הצעת מחיר טובה לקראת רכיבה עתידית.
