Wolfson University Medical Center (WMC) is a public multidisciplinary medical center in Holon that serves approximately half a million residents of central Israel and offers advanced services in most specialties. With a continued commitment to excellence and providing the best possible care to our patients, the 685-bed independent community hospital treats hundreds of thousands of patients annually through its 60 departments and 14 outpatient clinics and institutes.

Story.

Since 1980 and more than four decades later, Wolfson has become synonymous with advanced medicine, compassionate care and many of the brightest medical minds in Israel. WMC is particularly proud of the hospital's 4,500 births each year and its highly effective community health promotion program.

Campus

Wolfson is located on 10 acres right next to the train station. The hospital complex, built in 1980, consists of 3 interconnected buildings and ample parking. Wolfson has become a major multidisciplinary medical center with internationally renowned departments, including the Department of Ophthalmology, the innovative Department of Gastroenterology, the Department of Pediatric Neurology and the world-renowned Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In 2021, we will launch the Sylvan Adam Children's Hospital, which will house all of our pediatric departments - inpatient unit, day hospital and outpatient clinic.

  Employees

WMC employs more than 3,000 people (doctors, nurses, nursing staff, administrative and maintenance personnel). Many of our medical team are respected around the world in their fields, and others are involved in pioneering research into new treatments and therapies. The staff is supported by hundreds of volunteers who offer a wide range of support services in departments throughout the hospital.

Teaching

Wolfson University Medical Center is known for its outstanding doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals. The academic affiliation with Tel Aviv University has given birth to many outstanding scientists who have enriched the world with their discoveries.

Research and Innovation

As part of our efforts to advance healthcare, Wolfson physicians and scientists are actively involved in a wide range of clinical research projects with major international pharmaceutical and medical device companies, as well as many Israeli life sciences companies.

Research is conducted at WMC's advanced infrastructural facilities, allowing for clinical research and clinical trials. All our clinical trials are conducted in accordance with the Protocol, GCP-ICH, Ministry of Health Guidelines and applicable Israeli laws and regulations.

The hospital conducts research in all areas of medicine, including pediatric cardiac surgery, pediatric neurology, stroke hospitalization, pediatric gastroenterology, the National Center for Sexual Assault, and neuroimaging for Parkinson's disease.

История.

- Amazing hospital and stuff! I’m very satisfied with my experience in Wolfson Medical Center. First of all I wanna say that Main nurse Boris from ICU, social workers Valery and Ola are extraordinary and outstanding professionals. They are truly angels who surrounded me and my family with so much support, kindness, patience, understanding and compassion. I never experienced something like this in my life. I live in USA and work in medical field and had different experiences too, so I can tell that looking from the inside point of view,

I can definitely say that these people work really hard and go above and beyond their human powers to do everything to help patients and their family. I’m writing this because I wanna share my good experience and send kind message since I feel that, a lot of people who get good experience always forgot to share positive energy and reviews. My mom was in critical condition in Intensive Care Unit and I was coming from USA to see her to say my last goodbye and was pleasantly surprised how good she was taken care of! Medical stuff let me and my family stay inside with her as long as I needed, didn’t rush me at all, always patiently answered all my questions, supported me and always was there for me. With that being said I also wanna say that everyone there knows how to do their job, and I’ve seen so much kindness and compassion from total strangers there, and I can confidently say that Wolfson Medical Center did everything possible to save my mom. I truly appreciate their help! They threat patients and their family with a lot of respect and professionalism no matter how hard people from family can be, and they always do their best to help and save patient life.

- My name is Judy Bennett from melbourne Australia. I have just had an emergency triple bi- pass operation in Wolfsohn Hospital. From the very beginning it became obvious that I had a life threatening problem & could not return home without the operation My doctors Associate Professor Rubinshtein, Dr Bedir & Dr Tzach Levi together with the nursing staff were all amazing. I found myself in a very difficult situation as I don’t speak Hebrew but everyone tried to help me.

I would like to thank them all for the care they gave me & I will always have a spot in my new heart for Wolfsohn Hospital
