Details of the centers of interest:

The city's moat - the southern side of the city's moat was excavated in 1998, and with its help one can stand for the size and strength of the city during the Crusader period. In 1996, the eastern city gate was excavated, which is still in the territory of the IDF. You can clearly see that the moat continues beyond the excavated area and that it is about 4.5 m deep.

The Roman Maritime Villa - in the early 1980s a small part of the Roman villa was excavated, but only after the vigorous excavations conducted in 1998 was the Roman villa discovered in all its glory. The villa overlooking the sea dates back to the first century AD, and was destroyed by an earthquake in 127/8 AD.

The Crusader fort - in 1241, the construction of the fort began by Jean II of Mercer, son of the old seigneur from Beirut, Jean d'Evillen. Hands, first wall (outer fortification system) second wall and dungeon (Oz Tower).

Jean II's heir Belian d'Eybelin leases the fort and the estate in 1261 to the Hospitaller order as a response to the conquest campaign of the Mamluk sultan Bibers.

Beavers besieged the city for 5 weeks and at the end of three more days the Hospitaller warriors who defended the fort surrendered.

With the conquest of the city, Sultan Beavers ordered to destroy the city and leave it in Shimmona.

The sea path - from the split point, the path descends towards the Roman villa and then sticks to the route of the wall. The route repeats and meets with the upper route in the Etz Hashel compound.

The glass furnace - the glass furnace at the entrance to the garden operated during the Byzantine period (sixth century AD). So far, evidence of a number of furnaces has been discovered in Apollonia and its immediate surroundings, and it seems that the raw glass industry was one of the important economic branches of the city during the period. With the help of burning at extremely high temperatures (1,100 degrees Celsius), the glass furnace turned the raw material, a material that is mainly silica (silica) found in sea sand, into a surface of raw glass about 50 cm thick. After firing, the glass surface and the furnace were disassembled, and hence the furnace was used for firing Only one. The glass surface was disassembled into blocks which were sold to the glass makers in order to make glass tools and objects in a separate furnace.

Sidna Ali Mosque - Sidna Ali Mosque was built in 1481 and named after the warrior Ali Ibn Alim, who, according to Muslim belief, fell in battle against the Crusaders in Apollonia in 1250. The minaret of the mosque rises to a height of 21 m. The mosque was built by Shams al-Din, whose tomb is in the town of Jaljulia. The mosque is active today, and entry to it is permitted in modest clothing only.

Between the mosque and the coastal cliff is an ancient Muslim cemetery, which is an antiquities site, with the tombstone of Sheikh Mansour and several neglected shaft graves.

מוקדי עניין חפיר העיר הווילה הימית הרומית המבצר הצלבני​ שביל הים כבשן הזכוכית מסגד סידנא עלי פירוט מוקדי העניין: חפיר העיר – צדו הדרומי של חפיר העיר נחפר בשנת 1998, ובעזרתו אפשר לעמוד על גודלה וחוסנה של העיר בתקופה הצלבנית. בשנת 1996 נחפר שער העיר המזרחי, שעדיין נמצא בשטח תע"ש. אפשר לראות בבירור שהחפיר ממשיך מעבר לשטח החפור ושעומקו כ-4.5 מ'. הווילה הימית הרומית – בתחילת שנות ה-80 נחפר חלק קטן מהווילה הרומית, אך רק לאחר החפירות הנמרצות שנערכו בשנת 1998 התגלתה הווילה הרומית במלוא תפארתה. הווילה הצופה לים מתוארכת למאה הראשונה לסה"נ, והיא חרבה ברעידת אדמה בשנת 127/8 לספירה. המבצר הצלבני – בשנת 1241 החלה בנייתו של המבצר על ידי ז'אן השני מארסור בנו של הסניור הזקן מביירות ז'אן ד'איבלין, מבנה המבצר מושפע ממבצרים דומים בדרום-אנגליה וצרפת ומעיד על השפעה אירופאית.במבצר שלוש מערכות ביצורים: חפיר עמוק ורחב ידיים, חומה ראשונה (מערך ביצור חיצון) חומה שנייה ודונג'ון (מגדל עוז)

יורשו של ז'אן השני בליאן ד'איבלין מחכיר את המבצר ואת הנחלה בשנת 1261 לידי המסדר ההוספיטלרי וזאת כתגובה למסע הכיבושים של הסולטן הממלוכי ביברס.
ביברס צר על העיר 5 שבועות ובתום שלושה ימים נוספים נכנעו הלוחמים ההוספיטלרים שהגנו על המבצר

עם כיבוש העיר מצווה הסולטן ביברס להרוס את העיר ולהותירה בשיממונה. שביל הים – מנקודת הפיצול השביל יורד לכיוון הווילה הרומית ואחר כך נצמד לתוואי החומה. המסלול חוזר ונפגש עם המסלול העליון במתחם עץ האשל. כבשן הזכוכית – כבשן הזכוכית שבכניסה לגן פעל בתקופה הביזנטית (המאה השישית לספירה). עד כה התגלו עדויות למספר כבשנים באפולוניה ובסביבתה הקרובה, ונראה שתעשיית הזכוכית הגולמית הייתה אחד מענפי הכלכלה החשובים של העיר משך התקופה. בעזרת שרפה בטמפרטורות גבוהות במיוחד (1,100 מעלות צלזיוס) הפך כבשן הזכוכית את החומר הגולמי, חומר שעיקרו צורן (סיליקה) הנמצא בחול ים, למשטח של זכוכית גולמית שעוביו כ-50 ס"מ. לאחר הצריפה פורקו משטח הזכוכית והכבשן, ומכאן שהכבשן שימש לצריפה אחת בלבד. משטח הזכוכית פורק לגושים אשר נמכרו לאומני הזכוכית לטובת יצור כלים וחפצים מזכוכית בכבשן נפרד. מסגד סידנא עלי – מסגד סידנא עלי הוקם בשנת 1481 ונקרא על שם הלוחם עלי איבן עלים, שלפי האמונה המוסלמית, נפל בקרב נגד הצלבנים באפולוניה בשנת 1250. צריח המסגד מתנשא לגובה 21 מ'. את המסגד בנה שאמס א-דין, שקברו נמצא בעיירה ג'לג'וליה. המסגד פעיל כיום, והכניסה אליו מותרת בלבוש צנוע בלבד

בין המסגד למצוק החוף נמצא בית קברות מוסלמי עתיק, שהוא אתר עתיקות, ובו מצבת קבר השיח' מנצור וכמה קברי פיר מוזנחים

Национальный парк Аполлония расположен на гравийной скале с видом на пляж Герцлия. В парке есть впечатляющая крепость Крестоносцев и другие достопремичательности.

Как добраться: 

Кфар-Шмарьягу перекрёсток перед Герцлией (коричневые знаки будут вести вас к входу в парк), второй кольцевой поворот направо на Wingate.
